Cederquist has advised Nevel in connection with its investment in the energy infrastructure of RegEnergy Frövi AB’s greenhouses

Cederquist has advised Nevel in connection with its investment in, and the partnership to operate, the energy infrastructure of RegEnergy Frövi AB’s greenhouses in Frövi, Sweden. Following the investment, Nevel will be responsible for operating, maintaining and optimizing the energy infrastructure in both greenhouses in Frövi, in order to support stable operations, future growth and the continued development of the RegEnergy concept.

Nevel is a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions and utility infrastructure, with operations in Finland, Sweden and Estonia. The company serves nearly 100 industrial customers and more than 5,000 real estate customers, operates over 130 energy production sites and manages more than 40 district heating networks.

RegEnergy Frövi AB operates a state-of-the-art 100,000 m2 greenhouse, where tomatoes are produced using waste heat from local industry – making an important contribution to both food security and climate-friendly local production. In parallel with the existing facility, a second 100,000 m2 greenhouse is being constructed, which will also produce tomatoes based on the same circular principles, ensuring year-round supply to the market.

Cederquist’s team consisted of Berndt Pettersson (Partner, Banking & Finance), Julia Sun (Associate, Banking & Finance), William Wall (Senior Associate, Private M&A), Oskar Högberg (Counsel, Real Estate M&A) and Clara Norrbohm (Associate, Real Estate M&A).
