New Chair of the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market

Wilhelm Lüning, Senior Counsel at Advokatfirman Cederquist, has been elected as new independent Chair of the Association for Generally Accepted Principles in the Securities Market, succeeding Annika Lundius who has been Chair of the Association since 2022. The Board also consists of Vice Chair Petra Hedengran (Investor AB) and board members Maria Althin (Confederation of Swedish Enterprise), Åsa Arffman (Finance Sweden), Svante Forsberg (FAR), Urban Funered (Swedish Securities Markets Association), Adam Kostyál (Nasdaq Stockholm), Fredrik Nordström (Swedish Investment Fund Association), Anders Oscarsson (Swedish Institutional Investors Association) and Magnus Vesterlund (Insurance Sweden).

Wilhelm Lüning has a long and solid experience of the Swedish and international securities markets and has for a long time been active in various functions within the Swedish self-regulatory system, including as a member of the Swedish Securities Council. The Association is very pleased that Wilhelm Lüning has accepted the position as Chair of the Association and at the same time expresses its warm thanks to the outgoing Chair Annika Lundius for her valuable contributions.

– In a time of extensive regulatory changes, I look forward to contributing, together with the other members of the Board, to manage and develop the self-regulatory system in the Swedish securities market. In Sweden, the self-regulatory system plays an important role for a more efficient, healthy and strong securities market, which in turn contributes positively to Sweden’s business life and society, says Wilhelm Lüning.

The Association is the principal of five executive bodies:

  • The Swedish Securities Council
  • The Stock Market Self-Regulation Committee
  • The Swedish Corporate Governance Board
  • The Council for Swedish Financial Reporting Supervision
  • The Swedish Corporate Reporting Board
