Triton Partners creates Varna – a new Nordic platform in perimeter protection and technical security

Cederquist has advised the Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund (Triton Partners) in the formation of Varna, a new Nordic group in perimeter protection and technical security.

Varna is formed by Triton Partners through the acquisitions of and partnerships with six specialist providers of installation, service and maintenance of physical perimeter protection, access control and surveillance. The Varna group, initially consisting of Telehantering, Landströms Larmcenter, IQ, Låshantering, IP Security Scandinavia and Dan Group Alarm Syd, becomes a significant Nordic player from inception with a platform for continued growth.

The market for perimeter protection and technical security is supported by structural growth, digital transformation, increasing regulation and a changing geopolitical landscape. Varna is established with an active acquisition agenda in a fragmented Nordic market and is built on a decentralised model, where the local businesses retain their operational independence while gaining access to capital, resources and expertise to accelerate growth.
